Panther Sangria
1 750 ml bottle Bordeaux
6 oz Hennessey VS Cognac
6 oz Cointreau
4 oz simple syrup
6 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cinnamon stick
1-2 lemons thinly quartered
6 strawberries, hulled and sliced
1-2 small oranges thinly quartered
chilled sprite
Combine wine, brandy, Cointreau, simple syrup, orange and lemon juices, and cinnamon sticks in a large glass container. Cover and refrigerate overnight.* When ready to serve, pour into an ice-filled pitcher to two-thirds full. Add fresh sliced fruits and top with chilled Sprite, stirring gently to mix. Serve with fresh fruit in an ice-filled goblet.
*Sangria’s taste grows overnight so it’s not a bad idea to prepare a day in advance!
