Pecan Sticky Buns

Pecan Sticky Buns
Makes 12 buns

1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 rolls Pillsbury Grands Biscuits (16 oz pkg)
1/2 stuck butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Toast pecans on sheet in oven at 325o for approx. 8 minutes or until brown.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Put 3/4 cup butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in saucepan on medium-low heat until butter melts. Then cook for 4-5 minutes until bubbly and thick.

Add toasted pecans to pot. Then pour hot sticky syrup into a 13” x 9” pan. Set aside.

Pour 1/2 cup melted butter into shallow dish. In another shallow dish mix together white sugar and cinnamon. Pull biscuits out of tube.

Dip biscuits in melted butter, then in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place close together in pan on top of syrup. The pan should fit around 12 biscuits so you’ll have a few biscuits left over.

Bake in oven for approx 15-17 minutes until brown and pecan syrup is all bubbly. Cool in pan for about 10 minutes, then invert the whole thing onto a serving platter. Serve warm.
