Vermont Artisan Cheese Plate

Grafton Cave Aged Cheddar
Grafton Village Cheese, Grafton, Vt.
Grafton Village Cheese’s clothbound cheddar is a traditional English-style cheddar with a natural rind and aged in caves. True to its roots, raw milk is used for this cheese, along with traditional animal rennet. The result is a smooth, nutty flavor with a lasting finish. This delicious cheese is currently available in limited quantities and found only at The Old Tavern and in the Grafton Cheese retail stores (Grafton and Brattleboro). This delicious cheese was recently named one of World’s Top 100 cheeses by Wine Spectator Magazine.

Grafton Garlic Cheddar
Grafton Village Cheese, Grafton, Vt.
Granulated garlic is the key to Grafton Cheese’s vibrant garlic cheddar, which dissolves during aging and results in a smooth garlicky cheddar. This is a sandwich favorite. "Grow up" your macaroni and cheese by adding some garlic cheddar. Or simply pair with apples and crackers, and have a meal of it.

Taylor Farm Smoked Gouda
Taylor Farm, Londonderry, Vt.
Taylor Farm’s Maple Smoked Gouda won First Place in the smoked cheese category at the 2008 American Cheese Society conference and judging competition. The cheese is slowly smoked using maple hardwood chips which gives Taylor Farm’s original farmstead Gouda a whole new dimension.

Cheese will be served with Marcona almonds and plums, pear and apples from the Scott Farm (Dummerston, Vt).

Suggested wine pairing: Sauterne dessert wine
